We’ve launched NetSafetyResources!

Why another website about Internet safety? Do we really believe we can contribute something new to the endless stream of literature on this subject? What makes this site unique?

First, we are coming from a specifically Christian perspective. To be sure, we feel anyone can benefit from the resources here, even if they don’t agree with our beliefs. But this site is specifically tailored to Christians who wish to use the Internet in light of their convictions.

Second, many approaches to Internet safety deal only with the fruit of problems. We aim at the root: the human heart. Of course we need good technology and up-to-date information to protect us from cyber dangers and pitfalls. But the best defense is a good offense. What if, instead of merely being on guard from cyber threats, we resolutely set out to use the Internet to glorify God and show our enjoyment of Him? What if we applied our offline values to our online lives? What if we could pass these values on to our kids and others in our scope of influence? This is what NetSafetyResources.com is all about.
